Westport Cafe is a modern French restaurant in Kansas City, serving scratch-made bistro cuisine, craft cocktails, and weekend brunch in the heart of Westport. Since 2015, co-owners Romain Monnoyeur, Kevin Mouhot, and Nicolas Mermet have brought authentic French culinary tradition to Kansas City ; drawing on their training at culinary school in Poligny, France, and refining their craft through years in kitchens across Paris, Monaco, and the United States.

Our seasonal menu is built around classic French technique and the best ingredients we can source locally. Executive Chef Romain Monnoyeur, a 2024 James Beard Award semi-finalist, leads a kitchen where steak tartare, profiteroles, and steak frites sit comfortably alongside ever-evolving daily specials.
