Sahr Ngekia is a self-taught, abstract artist that specializes in line work influenced by his West African roots (Sierra Leone & Nigeria). From acrylic paint on canvas to pen on paper, he utilizes various mediums to express his unique style.

He originally started his art journey in Chicago during the pandemic in 2020. Since then he’s gone on to be a 2-time featured artist at TEDx & has pieces in private collections across the U.S.

Izzy has been working with us at @westportcafe for a year now. She has been rocking every station in the kitchen, and we are very lucky to have her among us. She decided to create a dish inspired by her roots. A taqueria in Mexico is the equivalent of a bistro in France, so she decided to mix both cultures and create a Lapin à la moutarde tamale, Mexican rice pilaf, jicama, and radishes. Cheers to Izzy!
